Bolton Central Elementary School Ranks #1 In School District Rankings As Rated In Albany Business News' Schools Report!
Each year Albany Business News releases its Schools
Report, which ranks the 92 public school districts located within the 11
county Capital Region. These school district performance measures are
based on data released by the New York State Education Department.
This yearly report is used by human resource
professionals when researching housing areas for new recruits, as well as
realtors who share this information with visitors thinking of relocating to the
area. When it’s time to recruit talented employees to the region, quality of
life counts, and for many families, that starts with good schools.
For the second time in five
years Bolton Central Elementary School has been ranked as the top elementary
school in the Capital Region.
This year Bolton Central School District’s rank
rose to 6th place from 10th and the High School rank rose
to 12th from 34th among the
top 92 ranked schools.
Some of the other achievements credited to BCS
are the following:
Across the board, Bolton Central School’s
students’ performance, from elementary Common Core exams to high school regents
have all ranked among the top districts by being included in the Top 10. In English,
BCS students ranked 1st for a second year in a row. In Math,
students ranked 8th and in Science 7th.
